Wrap up with the Digital Campaign on Commemorating the 59th Edition of the Youth Week 2025
The I-GLOBE Youth Week kicks off on February 1st with a powerful focus on youth economic empowerment, highlighting how young people constitute over 40% of the global workforce and their critical role in driving economic growth through SDG 8 initiatives. The week continues on February 3rd with the official launch of the Youth Solidarity & Civic Engagement in Local Development (YOSCELD) Initiative, aimed at equipping youth with job-ready skills and entrepreneurial support, followed by February 5th’s spotlight on youth entrepreneurship through specialized business training, mentorship, and funding access programs. February 7th brings attention to employment justice and fair wages, advocating for equal job opportunities and safe working conditions for young people, while February 9th features skill development workshops addressing the changing job market with training in tech, digital skills, and vocational programs to prepare youth for future employment landscapes.
The Youth Week culminates on February 11th with two major events: a morning session on youth civic engagement, empowering young leaders to advocate for better policies and participate in community development projects that demonstrate the direct link between civic participation and economic growth; and an afternoon innovation showcase highlighting youth-led technological solutions, featuring demonstrations of tech-driven approaches to economic challenges and discussions on bridging the digital divide to create equal opportunities for youth in the digital economy. Throughout the week, participants are encouraged to share their experiences and insights on social media using hashtags like #IGLOBEYouthWeek and #YOSCELD to extend the conversation beyond the events themselves.
