About the Project:

SmartCities, a Digital Marketplace that brings together consumers, businesses, and content creators in a social commerce model, that leverages new technologies to:

• Create opportunities for local businesses like bike riders, taxi drivers, local retail stores/shops in the market, and other businesses to increase their sales and expand their business horizon.
• Empower businesses to offer value added services that enhances consumer satisfaction in a transparent and accountable ecofriendly system with technology
• Leverage the power and influence of content creators to build brand awareness, influence sales growth and enhance brand authority for local business within cities
• Create over 10,000 – 50,000 job opportunities for students and unemployed youth through volunteering, internships, and full-time employment.

SmartCities Magazine, a premier publication dedicated to showcase outstanding businesses in the SmartCities platform with remarkable performance, consumer education, business listings, lifestyle trends, and local insights. Through this magazine, we will offer businesses  advertising space to effectively showcase its brand, highlight its commitment to excellence, and captivate readers with compelling narratives that underscore your role in connecting communities within Bamenda and beyond.

Volunteer and Intern Roles:

We are seeking candidates for the following roles to join our dynamic editorial team:

1. Writers/Journalists: Contribute compelling articles, features, and narratives on various topics, including consumer education, business profiles, lifestyle trends, and local insights.
2. Photographers/Videographers: Capture visually stunning photographs and videos to accompany articles and enhance the overall magazine experience.
3. Graphic Designers: Collaborate with the editorial team to create eye-catching designs, layouts, and infographics that elevate the magazine’s visual appeal.
4. Digital Content Specialists: Assist in managing the magazine’s online presence, social media channels, and digital content optimization.
5. Marketing and Advertising Interns: Support the development and implementation of marketing campaigns, liaise with advertisers, and contribute to effective advertising strategies.
